Web search giant Google has rolled out two new versions of its Chrome browser: v. 10 for beta users and v. 11 for developers.
The Chrome version 10 Beta promises to run faster with JavaScript abd video. It also comes inducted with a new settings interface and password sync feature.
In Google’s own V8 benchmarking suite, the Chrome version 10 Beta is claimed to be 66 per cent faster than the last version included in the Google Chrome 9.
Users can encrypt passwords or not. Syncing takes place via Chrome’s setting pane, which features tab opening in the browser.
In addition, the version 10 Beta features a preliminary implementation of GPU-accelerated video that will allow users with higher-end graphics cards to depend on that hardware in place of a standard CPU processor. It promises increased computing efficiency and enhanced battery life.
Settings in the new version have been given individual URLs, which lets users to leap to the settings options they desire without any need to run through a sequence of windows.
The new version is expected to become stable some time in the coming few weeks.
