The world’s most popular social-networking site, Facebook, has launched a new app that allows users to pursue their private crushes silently.
The new app, Breakup Notifier, informs you via an email when your love, who is in relationship with someone else, breaks up.
The Breakup Notifier, which sends relationship status updates for selected friends, genders or groups of friends, was developed by software developer Dan Loewenherz in just four hours.
Los Angeles-based 24-year-old Loewenherz said he developed the app with an intension to allow users to know when people you are interested in break up.
Speaking on his app, the developer added, “It just says, do what you want, here’s a practical tool.”
The app comes with some safety features- foe example the app advises not to use the service once someone’s status changes to ‘married’.
Facebook claims to have more than half a billion users around the world.
