Though the devastating earthquake has shaken the city- Christchurch, but fortunately the health professionals of the city hospital dedicatedly serving the earthquake victims and providing the best care to help them get rid of their pain and injuries.
According to the hospital authority of Christchurch city, it is a time of crisis and the hospital is proving its capabilities by providing ultimate care to all the patients who are the victims of earthquake. It is good to see that all health professionals serving patients with a smile. Though, the number of patients is increasing every day.
On a priority basis, five more trauma care units are opened in the hospital to deal with serious injuries. Maximum numbers of patient are seeing the orthopedic department and to meet the needs of the patients more senior surgeons will be coming from Wellington and Auckland within a few days.
The hospital authority informed that it has postponed all surgeries which are not immediately required, so that they perform surgeries for the earthquake victims who are in a series condition.
The authority further added that diabetes department has been closed for some time so that doctors see more patients in the emergency and health professionals are taking special care of the Neo-Natal department. Babies and mother who are in a stable condition might be shifted to other city hospitals as there might be requirements of more beds.
