An Australian paramedic, Jo Rogers, wants to dedicate her life serving those who are in need of help and support. She was deeply moved seeing the horrifying and devastating sights of the earthquake that recently jolted New Zealand.
It has been more than two months now that she is staying in the country. Earlier, she was busy serving people affected by floods as well as a cyclone, which took place in Queensland and now she is devoted in taking care of earthquake victims in Christchurch.
Jo Rogers is the leader of a special operations response team which is part of the Queensland Ambulance Service and here she has other qualified doctors and nurses as the members of this team. They have set up a temporary hospital in the eastern part of Christchurch with a purpose of providing quality care to the residents of this area.
Dr. Rogers's has set an example by setting this temporary 75-bedded field hospital which can move easily from one place to another in order to extend their help to every person in need of it. It has become the community health care centre.
Talking on the issue, Dr. Rogers said that she is content with the feeling that her team is good enough to support people who become victims of natural calamities.
