The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) has made ex- gratia payment to the families of four missing doctors from Christchurch's The Clinic.. The Chief Executive of RNZCGP, Karen Thomas told that this was the best way to support the families of missing clinical doctors. The payment was granted after discussing the matter with GP Victoria Flight who own The Clinic.
The missing staff of the Christchurch's The Clinic include four doctors Allan Sinclair, Maysoon Abbas, Husan Al-Ani and Dominic Bell, nurses Teresa McLean and Jane Grant, receptionists Dian Falconer and Marian Hilbers and osteopath Janet Meller.
The 13 missing clinicians are believed to be in the Canterbury TV building as these clinicians had moved in this building after the September 4, earthquake.
Dr. John Drew who owns the clinic with his GP wife Victoria Flight said that they have not received any reports related to the missing clinicians. He added that they will provide all the necessary support to the missing families.
