CSG acquires Konica Minolta NZ

Roads have been cleared for the acquisition of print service company Konica Minolta New Zealand and its associated leasing business by the Australian IT services company CSG Ltd, according to the reports published in New Zealand Herald on Friday. The transaction worth $NZ132 million would be partly funded through $A65 million share placement by CSG. CSG is going for complete acquisition of equipment financing firm Leasing Solutions while it would acquire 90 per cent stake in Konica Minolta Business Solutions after getting the nod of New Zealand Overseas Investment Office and CSG shareholder. The businesses are collectively known as the Onesource group and brought from finance company Hanover Group for $NZ150 million four years earlier. Meanwhile, Evan Johnson, the Chief Executive of Onesource would continue to work as Managing Director of the New Zealand businesses and would be included in the CSG Australasian steering committee for promoting its business in both countries. CSG Chief Denis Mackenzie said, "We are extremely familiar with the KMBS business model and see it as a low risk business, with large potential for growth over the next three to five years."
