Those infants who are exposed to this drug have a higher rate of mouth deficiencies. This drug besides others like it is very strong and harsh for the health of the pregnant lady. There needs to be extra care taken about the medicines she consumes while this period of nine months.
Care should be taken that she does not take any non-prescribed medicines and does not harm herself or the child.
There needs to be more strict guidelines written on the containers of these medicines so that the child bearing women and their attendants can be careful to avoid such medicines during the first trimester of pregnancy. There can be fatal damages to the fetus if there is a continuous exposure to this drug.
