Forum for Filipino WomenFilipino women are all set to make their presence felt in the world. The government has always been eager to channelize their initiatives to motivate women to explore their potential in other fields.

As per reports, the National Commission on the Role of Women (NCRW) in collaboration with other national government agencies and civil society organizations has launched a forum with the underlying theme of “Magna Carta of Women, Philippine CEDAW: In Support of The Millennium Development Goals”.

The Filipino women, who were traditionally bound to their household chores, will get access to voice their opinion on issues pertaining to the gender inequality prevalent in the society.

Going with the theme of UN convention to provide equal opportunity to women in professional arena, the forum is expected to witness well known global personalities.

As per reports, CIVIL Service Commission (CSC) Chair, Francisco Duque III is expected to support the underlying aim of the forum.

Moreover, CSC-CAR Regional Director, Fernando Porio has reportedly appealed the government officials and personnel gender and development focal persons and advocates, women leaders and interested employees to take significant steps in the direction so that this sensitive issue can be addressed.
