Sleep Deprivation Stimulates Risky DecisionsSound sleep makes you a better decision maker. A team of researchers at the Duke University claims that people who take proper sleep in the night are better at decision making as they choose the best possible option for them.

For the study, 29 people were roped in people and assigned a task to them. After studying their MRI scans, researchers claim that those who were sleep deprived displayed a significant activity in the brain section which stimulates optimism and simultaneously showed a dearth in activity in the region catering the negative emotions as compare to those who took sound sleep.

Apart of this research, many studies had earlier claimed that sound sleep is a must for better health. Additionally, many experts have iterated the need of proper sleep in order to boost the attention span and henceforth, improve the memorizing power.

Nevertheless, the news is a wakeup call for all those people who grill their night sleep, many gamblers would be in a fix as they are bound to take risky decision to shell out profit from illicit activities.

Responding to the study, co-author Dr. Michael Chee, Professor at the neurobehavioral disorders program at Duke-NUS in Singapore, claims that people from medical background are among the most affected from the poor sleep as they have to kill their night sleep to honor their duty.
