Mozilla releases Firefox 4.0 Release CandidateMozilla recently rolled out the first Release Candidate of Firefox version 4.0 for Windows, Linux and Mac.

The Firefox version 4.0 Release Candidate, which has emerged following eight months of beta testing of the browser, is available in seventy-nine different languages.

Mozilla claimed that it fixed as many as eight thousand bugs from the time when it rolled out the first beta version in July last year.

The open source outfit claims that the Firefox 4.0 Release Candidate brings general stability, performance & compatibility improvements.

Firefox 4.0 features an enhanced plug-in architecture, known as JetPack, along with a new minimalist interface, quicker JavaScript performance, and enhanced support for HTML5.

In addition, the full menu bar has been ditched in favor of a small "Firefox" drop-down alternative on the top left. The browser tabs have been placed on the top as the visual priority. The users will be able to keep his/her browser bookmarks, password, links, history and sessions synchronized with the Firefox Sync.

Existing users of the beta version will have their browsers automatically updated.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is preparing to release version 9 of its Internet Explorer on 14th of March. Google rolled out version 10 of its Chrome Web browser on Monday.
