Apple will reportedly to open a temporary pop-up store at West 6th Street and Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, Texas.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the pop-up store will remain there for a period of two weeks starting Friday- the first day of the South by Southwest Festival. Apple’s recently introduced second-generation tablet, the iPad 2, will also be released on the same day.
Apple has not made any comment on the existence of the pop-up store, but reports claim that Apple settled down on the prime downtown location on Monday and the pop-up store is in work.
Apple’s potential store at the reported location will let news men and photographers to record the swarms of Apple fans hitting the store to their hands on the iPad 2.
Apple is not the only manufacturer to open a pop-up store at SXSW to allow visitors to have their hands on something instinctively entertaining. Tech giant Hewlett-Packard (HP) has already opened the HP Mobile Park.
