The Video Game Awards, amidst showcasing trailers for almost all major releases coming to please game enthusiasts, also managed to hand out some awards, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, a Naughty Dog product published by Sony exclusively for the PS3, managed to take home the Game of the Year honor.

The title has managed to beat other favorites including Modern Warfare 2 from Infinity Ward and Activision, and Halo 3: ODST from Bungie and Microsoft.

Also during the ceremony, Hugh Jackman was named the as receiver of the Best Performance by a Human Male honor for his performance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Megan Fox walked away with the Best Performance by a Human Female award for her appearance in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Best Indie Game award was taken home by Flower and Forza Motorsport 3 got recognition as the Best Driving Game.

Upcoming attractions were not forgotten and God of War 3 was named the most interesting game that will be coming to stores in 2010.
