Tax on Beer in UK

Tax on BeerA tax on beer? Oh, Come on, you can’t be serious! Beer is like bread and butter for millions across the globe. The Government has been sent a plea to rethink their decision of imposing taxes on beer after a recent study has discovered how many people depend on it. There are several people who just grab beer and a pack of their favorite snacks and relax

It has been the result of a study by the British Beer and Pub Association. It shows how vital a role beer and pubs play in making the economy of the nation stable. There is a huge 980,000 worker5s who depend on beer and pubs for their daily bread.

It accounts to about £21 billion and contribute in the U.K. economy hugely.

BBPA Chief Executive Brigid Simmonds said, "The last thing local pubs and pub goers need is a further beer tax hike in the Budget next week, when instead we could be leading the economy out of recession and creating local jobs. The Government needs to think again". Liquor is already so costly all over. This new imposition would make the situations worsen further.
