Microsoft’s Kinect Sports, which uses innovative motion sensing technology, bagged the best family game award at the Wednesday’s Bafta video game awards.
Mass Effect 2 was named the best game, while Heavy Rain scooped up three awards, one for Original Music, and others for Story and Technical Innovation.
The "Ones to Watch" award was grabbed by That Game Studio for its Twang game, which was highly commended for the blend of the best use of technology, innovation and market potential.
The Best Action Game award was grabbed by Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, while F1 2010 and Civilization V scored awards for best Sports and Best Strategy, respectively. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood could pick up merely one trophy, regardless of leading the nominations.
Members of the public bestowed the GAME Award on acclaimed Call of Duty: Black Ops title. The GAME Award is the only award that is voted for by the members of the public.
