The research of Xolair or omalizumab was done recently. The researchers confirmed that the drug can help in reducing the symptoms of seasonal asthma when used with the regular treatment of asthma. The children and young adults who suffer from allergic asthma are the ones who benefit the most from this anti-asthma treatment.

The use of the drug with the combination of regular anti-asthma treatment helped people suffering from the seasonal asthma in reducing the days with symptoms by 25%. The asthma attacks were also reduced by 30%.

The drug omalizumab with the IgE antibodies helps in facilitating asthmatic reactions. It has been seen that most of the asthma attacks occur during the fall and spring seasons. The children and the adolescents are the ones who suffer the most from these seasonal asthma attacks. The combination of these drugs can definitely be helpful for them.

There are around 20 million people diagnosed with asthma in the United States. Out of these 20 million people, 2.5 million are children. The new study is definitely progressive and will possibly help in reducing these appalling figures.
