Finnish firm Rovio’s Angry Birds Rio game grabbed the top spots in the list of iPhone and iPad paid game apps in America as well as forty-nine overseas markets.
Angry Birds Rio was rolled out on 22nd of March for the Rio de Janeiro premiere of the animated 3D film Rio.
As per the Hollywood Reporter, Angry Birds Rio was the most downloaded game app in several countries, including Australia, France, Italy and the UK.
The story of the game goes as: the Angry Birds manage to escape from captivity and then make efforts to save their friends, viz. Blu and Jewel.
The game comes with several new features like, two episodes with sixty levels, special hidden fruits and entirely new achievements.
The creator has paired the physics-based gameplay of the original Angry Birds game with unique twists based on the animated 3D film Rio, which will open in Latin America, the UK and North America on April 7, April 8 and April
15, respectively.
