Sprint Nextel Corp used the wireless conference in Orlando, Florida, to announce that it would offer a glasses-free 3D-capable smartphone called the HTC EVO 3D.
The EVO 3D will use carrier’s 4G network and will feature the newest version of Google’s Android operating system, Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The upcoming handset will offer a speedier Web browser, a 4.3-inch QHD display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and dual 5MP cameras for shooting 3D videos & photos.
In addition, the handset features HTC’s Sense user interface.
Along with the smartphone, the carrier also announced 7-inch HTC EVO View 4G tablet, which will come equipped with a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the newest version of HTC Sense, 1GB of memory, 32GB of internal storage.
Both devices will be available in summer this year. Pricing will be announced before launch.
