It has been confirmed that the Dr Reddy's Laboratories have been successful in attaining GlaxoSmithKline's US penicillin manufacturing facility and rights. The will be handling the Augmentin and Amoxil brands in the United States of America.

The Dr Reddy's Laboratories will only have the rights for the United States of America. GlaxoSmithKline will keep the rights for rest of the world.

The financial terms have not been disclosed yet but the deal has been confirmed. The shares of Dr Reddy's Laboratories saw an increment of 2.21 per cent.

Both the Augmentin and Amoxil brands are used for the cure of bacterial infections. They are a trademark of GlaxoSmithKline.

More than 0.11 lakh shares have been sold of Dr Reddy's Laboratories due to the announcement of the deal with GlaxoSmithKline. The current cost of the share is Rs. 1628. It has increased by Rs34.75. The maximum recorded cost of the share was Rs. 1642 and the minimum was Rs. 1619.

The attaining of the oral penicillin manufacturing facility in Bristol and product portfolio was completed yesterday by the Dr Reddy's Laboratories.

Dr Reddy is completely satisfied by the deal and is expecting to benefit from the achievement. He has assured that his company will make sure that the best quality is provided to people and the Indian economy also benefits from the deal.
