Apple has announced that it would hold the much-anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 6 to June 10 at the Moscone West in San Francisco.
The company said that it would use the upcoming conference to introduce the future of iOS and Mac OS, demonstrate a horde of applications and to host as many as one hundred technical sessions.
In the press release for the conference, Apple said, “At this year’s conference we are going to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS. If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss.”
Tech community is eagerly waiting for the WWDC 2011 as Apple is widely expected to announce the fifth-generation iPhone- the iPhone 5, free MobileMe service, sales figures for iPad 2, its commitment to 4G and improvements to its the Mac App Store and iTunes service.
Apple could also use the event to put Mac OS X 10.7 Lion on full display to let developers to inspect the software. Delay in the release of the iOS 5 can also be announced during the conference.
Tickets for the Apple's upcoming event entirely sold out within just 12 hours after their availability. The company priced the tickets at $1,599 each, but scalpers are offering them for as high as $4,599.
