Breast cancer has become a major problem all around the world. Millions of dollars are spent every year to find a more successful cure for breast cancer. The authorities are concerned about the increasing number of women being diagnosed with this cancer every year.

An international group of breast cancer experts is requesting doctors to use the comparatively more preventive therapy. They suggest that the doctors should prescribe drugs like as tamoxifen and raloxifene. According to them these drugs can be used as a preventive therapy for women more prone to breast cancer.

As confirmed by the experts that if the risk of developing breast cancer over the next 10 years is more than 4% above the average, then a woman should be recommended the preventive therapy and the doctors need to do regular screening to save her from cancer. Every woman who has a density above 75% should be regularly screened.

In numerous cases it has been seen that tamoxifen helps in reducing the density. The increased density makes a woman more prone to breast cancer.

The authorities should take the required steps to make sure that the women are regularly screened for breast cancer. In most of the cases, by the time the woman is diagnosed with breast cancer it is too late.
