Apple on Wednesday rolled out the second developer preview of its upcoming operating system, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
Available only to registered developers via the Mac App Store, the beta software is carrying build number 11A419 and has been labeled as Mac OS X Lion Developer Preview 2.
The beta software emerged along with Mac OS X Lion Server Developer Preview 2 and Xcode 4.1 Developer Preview 2, which is also carrying the same 11A419 build number.
The newest OS X Lion developer preview features a visual overhaul of iCal which resembles the look & feel of the iPad’s app.
Xcode 4.1 Preview 2, the pre-release version of the company’s Mac OS X development suite, accompanied the above-mentioned two releases.
Apple’s forthcoming Mac OS X Lion operating system, which is slated for this summer, will bring new features like that of AirDrop and Mission Control.
