Bavarian automaker BMW used a private M Division gathering in Munich to unveil the one-off M3 Pick-up and a special M3 Saloon.
The M3 Saloon is a lightweight model of the M3 sedan. It is built with parts from the M3 GTS. Thus the M3 Saloon Concept is sits between the M3 and M3 GTS. It features darkened 19-inch wheels. Its front splitter, the larger front and rear brakes have been taken from the GTS. It black-colored kidney grilles and darkened windows make it look more aggressive. Information about its interior is still unknown.
It is also unclear whether it will feature the standard M3's 4.0-litre V8 engine or a detuned version of the 4.4-litre V8 like that of the GTS.
The 414bhp Pick-up is powered by the same 4.0-litre V8 as the coupe, and has been considerably tailored at the back. It weighs in at about 50kg less than the M3 convertible. But the company said it would remain an exclusive one-off as it would not go under production.
The automaker is celebrating the M Festival to rejoice its outstanding performance at the Nürburgring 24 hours previous year, where the German company emerged as the overall winner.
Entry ticket to the M Festival, which is slated for 23rd - 26th of June at the Nürburgring, has been priced at _ 269.
