It's good news for the women who have been struggling in the course of pregnancy. As per reports, the women suffering from ovarian disease or cancer can get benefitted from In Vitro Maturation (IVM) therapy. The IVM technique allows the eggs form the ovarian follicle to develop in a laboratory for one or more than one days.
Responding to the study, Dr. Simon Kelly of Fertility Associates, who will be introducing this service to New Zealand, claimed that the team is expecting the number of patients opting for IVF therapy to rise in the coming time.
Moreover, the IVF technique is said to benefit patients struggling to bear the high cost and duration of other IVF drugs. In addition, the technique can help to avert the long and intrusive blood test and ultrasounds which leads to IVF.
Though the treatement is said be licensed in many countries for the past 12 years, the Ministry of Health under the Human Assisted Reproductive Technology (HART) Act 2004 in New Zealand nodded for the IVF treatment this week.
With the news of approval hitting the corners of the New Zealand, the Government's advisory committee claimed that couple of the New Zealand's fertility providers are willing to open the IVM services and many more are expected to follow the suite.
