According to reports of Venezuela's health minister, the number of patients that are being treated for A/H1N1 influenza has risen to 923. He told the reporters that even today there exist around 253 cases in northwestern state of Merida which lets it continue the trend of being the most affected area. Following it is the northern Miranda state with 203 cases and then it is the capital district of Caracas with 205 cases.
However, a control in the spread of this virus has been already initiated but if this A/H1N1 influenza is not treated on time then it can become quite dangerous.
As compared to the last report, 211 new cases have been developed with this disease.
It was on March 18 when after the death of one person it was established that A/H1N1 influenza is reappearing in Venezuela’s Merida state.
Following the latest rise in such cases, William Davila, who is a member of parliament for Merida state, had urged the Venezuelan government for declaring a sanitary alert across the country.
In 2009, it was for the first time, when the A/H1N1 influenza appeared in the world and it was soon after declared as pandemic by the World Health Organization. According to the sources, till now this virus has taken 116 lives in Venezuela in 2009 and another 135 in 2010.
