The famous British film studio, Pinewood Shepperton is eyeing to be taken over by the Peel Group after the announcement by the property investor to keep the bid at 96 million pounds.
The peel group is a large entity and has produced a number of amazing movies in the past. The firm has received an offer from Peel saying that it would cost them 88 million pounds for the takeover.
Peel already owns about 30% of Pinewood. "Peel has a very large stake already. I think it will be difficult (for a rival bid) but anything can happen. Right now it looks like it is the only bid on the table”, said an analyst.
"There's always the opportunity for a competing bid either from Al Fayed or a third party. The irrevocable undertaking from Crystal Amber leaves the door open for a bid at 250 (pence) or more”, analyst Malcolm Morgan of Peel Hunt said.
The deal is a much hyped one and all eyes are set on it. People are now waiting with eager eyes to see what the final result of all these speculations is. The merger shall mean a lot of business to both the firms and the profit shall be mutual as well.
