The HTC Droid Incredible 2 smartphone will be available starting April 28 via Verizon Wireless, while Google’s Nexus S 4G will go on sale on May 8 through Sprint.
The HTC Droid Incredible 2 runs Android OS 2.2 and comes equipped with a 4-inch display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. It is global-ready as it has three bands that are supported in over 200 countries.
An unlimited smartphone data plan will be available with the Droid Incredible 2 for $29.99 a month.
Like the HTC Droid Incredible 2, the Nexus S 4G also comes equipped with a 4-inch display and a 1GHz processor. However, there is a Samsung processor in the Nexus S.
The Droid Incredible 2 also steals the show from the Nexus S when it comes to cameras. The Nexus S comes equipped with a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and a less then 1-megapixel VGA-quality camera on the front. However, it gets the fastest version of Android OS- Android 2.3, codenamed Gingerbread.
Both the upcoming handsets will be available for $199.99 with two year service contracts from their respective carriers.
