World’s most popular social networking site Facebook is the world’s most appalling spying machine, whistleblower website Wikileaks’ founder Julian Assange said.
In an interview with Russia Today, Assange said that Facebook has the world’s most comprehensive databases, which include users’ names, addresses, locations, relationships and communications with one another.
Hosted in America, these comprehensive are in the reach of American intelligence agencies.
Speaking on the topic, Assange said, “Facebook in particular is the most appalling spying machine that has ever been invented. Here we have the world’s most comprehensive database about people, all accessible to US intelligence”.
He added that Facebook has built-in interfaces for the American intelligence agencies. Those who store their information on Facebook-like sites do free work for American intelligence agencies.
Facebook claims to have more than half a billion users worldwide.
