A doctor from Xuyi county of Jiangsu has been found guilty of carrying out the unsuccessful abortion of a 17-year-old unmarried girl. The girl was about eight months pregnant at the time of abortion.

The doctor also helped her in selling away the baby after the abortion. The news was given to the police by an anonymous caller who revealed that the last name of the doctor was Min. The caller said that with the help of the doctor the girl sold the baby to another family.

After the information given by the caller, the police launched an investigation into the matter. The investigation confirmed that the abortion was carried out without the certificate. The family who adopted the baby gave 5,000 Yuan to girl which had not shared with the doctor.

The mother of the girl appealed the doctor to carry out the abortion as she did not want her daughter to deliver the baby. The girl got pregnant at her school in Nanjing. Police said that the birth mother and doctor can be charged if they are found to have sold the baby for profit or deserted the baby.
