Domino’s soon to grow itself across the European Market. The Fast-food Group is planning to take over the Belgium Pizza Chain, the Pizza Company.
The Pizza Company has 15 stores in Belgium and would take Domino's outlets in the country to 30, after the closure of one outlet.
Both the companies entered into a memorandum of understanding to acquire the Belgium Pizza maker. But the sum of money is undisclosed yet. The stores would be rebranded to Domino’s from March, 2010.
Don Meij, who is the chief executive of Dominos Pizza, said that the purchase would make Domino's the No. 1 pizza delivery company in Belgium in terms of store count. And this will make Domino’s a national brand in Belgium.
"Once converted, Domino's 30 stores across Belgium will give us the momentum to make a substantial presence in the market, similar to what we have achieved in New Zealand", Mr Meij said.
