Splash Damage updates Brink, first DLC to be free

Splash Damage has rolled out a patch for its recently released first-person shooter Brink to address issue that dogged the game after launch.

The release of the updates on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions allows let those connecting to and hosting matches to more consistently locate and connect to quality hosts through Brink’s matchmaking process. It will ensure less lag and more fun.

The game developer also announced that the first DLC expansion for the game would be made available for free to appreciate gamers’ support and feedback.

Making the announcement, Splash Damage said, “To show our appreciation for your support of Brink, we will be making the first DLC for Brink available for free when it is released.”

Slated for June, the first DLC will bring additional maps plus new content for gamers.

The story of Brink is set on a futuristic floating city, dubbed The Ark, where a war is fought to save or demolish the city, depending on which side the player is fighting from.

Developed by Splash Damage and released by Bethesda Software, the game is rated ‘T’ for teen.
