Wichita Falls Receives Off-Leash Dog Facility

It seems that the long battle of Borrego brothers with the City Council to have an off-leash dog facility at Wichita Falls has finally given fruits. As per reports, Alex Borrego, who along with his brother, Manuel Borrego Jr. and several friends has been persuading City Council Councilor for over a year to have a full fledged dog park facility at Wichita Falls.

Following long meetings with 4B Sales Tax Corp pertaining to the plan of Dog Park, the 4B board of directors green signaled for an amount of $10,000 for a basic off-leash facility. Apparently, the secondary facilities, including water fountain, more benches and other ideas will be taken care of by the team of Borrego brothers.

Though some basic rules apply for the dog owners, the dog facility has two gates, one for large dogs and other for small dogs. All the dogs will enter with strap in the first gate and then the strap will be removed before entering second gate. Before leaving the facility, the dog owners will put the strap back to the neck of dogs.

Moreover, District 1 Councilor Michael Smith has appreciated the efforts made by Borrego brothers to have separate dog facility for dogs of all breeds and sizes to make new four-leg friends in a fenced area.
