Recent scientific studies claim that depression is associated with genetics and depression can be cured by genetic treatments.
"In a large number of families where two or more members have depression we found robust evidence that a region [of chromosome 3] called 3p25-26 is strongly linked to the disorder", said Gerome Breen of King's College in London in a statement. Breen was one of the study's lead authors.
Many of the researchers from different parts of the globe have similar results so this concept holds strong in the scientific world.
Scientists have quoted that they are presently studying this very closely and they understand the genetic tendencies and symptoms. They are presently learning the changes those are occurring at the genetic and molecular levels.
