Reports suggest that the American Centre of Law and Justice (ALCJ) has said on Tuesday that it is in favour of the lawsuit which is challenging the health care reform law. It has been reported that ALCJ will be appealing in the US Court of Appeals in order to reverse the decision given by the lower court. They are in favour to dismiss this heath care law.
"Without question, the health care law oversteps the authority of Congress and ultimately must be declared unconstitutional. We believe the federal district court erred in dismissing our suit and we're urging the appeals court to reinstate our lawsuit", said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ.
He said that the entire health care reform law is unacceptable and unconstitutional and hence this needs to be abolished.
There are four members who are involved in this case. They are Susan Seven-Sky from New York, and three Texas residents – Charles "Eddie" Lee, Kenneth Ruffo, and Gina Rodriguez.
ACLF claimed that this law violates the Commerce Clause of the Constitution and also Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993.
They have filed a brief petition in the US Court of Appeals and they are in favour of abolishing this health care reform law made by the Obama government.
