The researchers are working hard to find a way in order to cure cancer without the help of chemotherapy. An important study by Lester and Sue Smith Breast Centre at Baylor College of Medicine has suggested that breast cancer can be cured with the help of the combination targeted treatment.

It has been found that people really get relieved if these two drugs are used in combination. The people are treated with HER2- positive breast cancer and they are completely relieved. A quarter of breast tumours are mostly HER2 positive and thus this medicine gives an advantage.

"HER-2 is a major driver, it's the engine that keeps the cancer growing. Chemo targets any proliferating cell — that's why it causes hair to fall out, lowers the immune system, and creates nausea. This targets the particular molecule in two different ways and blocks it completely from partnering with other molecules, so it essentially shuts down main driver", Rimawi says.

He said that if a woman is given a drug Lapatinib, this will block the HER-1 and HER-2 enzymes. This will automatically reduce the cancer growth and completely eradicate this disease. Another drug is trastuzumab, which will be applied as an intravenous injection once a week and this will block HER-2 protein.

However, doctors claimed that the combinational treatment is not yet tested however, these medicines if applied individually then the cancer can be cured without chemotherapy.
