Finnish games developer Remedy Entertainment is developing the next Alan Wake title for the Xbox Live Arcade, emerging reports suggest.
According to different reports, the upcoming game has been titled “Alan Wake: Night Springs,” and would be a downloadable, all-new XBLA title.
The reports are in compliance with an earlier comment from the Finnish studio. Remedy's Oskari Hakkinen had said, “Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming... the next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC.”
Night Springs is the name of The Twilight Zone style television show from the games. IGN reports that Alan Wake is credited with writing the imaginary television series during gameplay. However the nature of the title can not be predicted.
Neither Remedy Entertainment, the original developer of Max Payne and Max Payne 2, nor Microsoft has so far confirmed the reports.
