But according to most health experts, fats are poor for health if taken in large quantities; if these are consumed in small quantities then instead of glucose, these are burnt for body required energy. This is the reason why these are also known as a vital source of energy.

It is basically the excessive proteins and carbohydrates that build fat in body and this fat is really difficult to lose once it gets stored. Therefore all those non fat crash diets that advice higher consumption of proteins or carbohydrates never give effective results.

However, fats are considered as the most precious energy reserve in the body. Actually a body first burns its carbohydrate reserves and then uses the fat reserves. So when less of carbohydrates are consumed, body’s glycogen reserves get lowered down and therefore body quickly jumps onto the fat reserves for producing energy.
