PocketNow has posted some new pictures of the Asus’ PadFone, which lives up to its name by providing a secret compartment for the docking of an ASUS-branded Android smartphone.
In the posted picture of the mysterious device, one can see an Android-powered smartphone interlocking with a tablet. However, there is no information available on how the two devices will pair.
There is a hole in the rear casing to allow the smartphone’s camera to operate from within. Dual speakers can also be seen at the rear of the device.
Complete specs of the device are expected to surface during the upcoming trade show Computex.
Earlier, a teaser from Taiwanese electronics giant Asus depicted a smartphone-tablet hybrid, and a revamped, ultra-slim Eee PC netbook.
As many as 2,000 exhibitors and more than 120,000 visitors are expected to hit Asia’s largest show Computex, which will open on Tuesday in Tapei.
