An article written by Dr. Darren McKeown has warned people going for Botox treatment at an early stage as it could speed up the aging process rather than lowering it down. The article was published in the Daily Telegraph which also states that till now there have not been any incidents to suggest that long term use of Botox could prevent wrinkles from developing.
Dr. Darren is of the opinion that the excessive use of Botox over a long period can loosen the muscles making one look aged. In order to attract more people, they are being told that Botox works to relax muscles that cause frown lines, which hardly happens.
It is believed that people are being influenced by celebrities’ use of the beauty treatment. McKeown has warned people that rather than improving wrinkles, prolonged Botox treatment could in fact cause muscle to waste away, most notably, around the eyes.
Experts from the Hospital Group, leading UK provider of the treatment, has told that a newly concept- Baby Botox- could appeal to those who might be cautious about wanting a natural look. However, they have revealed that the dose of drug could determine the affectivity of the treatment, the lower the dosage the more effective it will be.
