All the mobile users need to be alert as it has been revealed by the World Health Organization (WHO) that the use of cell phones may trigger cancer in humans. Following the warnings by WHO, cell phones have now been characterized as "possible cancer-causing agents". Although it is a matter of concern, there are few who are celebrating the news as they believe that new job opportunities will become available as richer will hire poor people to listen to their phone.
There are about five billion cell phones in use worldwide and it is believed that New Zealand is under greater threat as people in New Zealand uses cell phone more than anybody in the world. The revelation made by WHO has pushed cell phone manufacturers to carry a warning note on the packaging of the cell phones.
However, some experts are of the view that cell phone doesn’t cause brain tumor. Tumor takes 30 to 40 years to develop. Cigarettes, alcohol and coffee have previously been linked to cancer this is for the first time when cell phones have been linked to cancer. It is required to limit the use of cell phones in order to protect oneself from the consequence as it is well known prevention is better than cure.
