Apple integrates Twitter in iOS 5

Apple integrates Twitter in iOS 5The next version of mobile operating system, iOS 5, will come integrated with Twitter, Apple’s senior executive Scott Forstall announced Monday at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco.

Apple’s Chief Executive Steve Jobs opened the event, and turned to Mr. Forstall, senior vice president of iOS software, who provided details of the new operating system.

Apple’s partnership with micro-blogging site Twitter will allow users of iPad, iPhone and iPod touch to tweet photos, maps and all that straight from within the iOS.

Announcing the new feature, Forstall said, "And we hear from a lot of our customers on iPhone and iPad and iPod touch that they love Twitter. And so we want to make it even easier for all of our customers to use Twitter on iOS products."

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey said in a blog post that Twitter's integration with iOS 5 would provide users with the easiest way to share world’s happening.

The iOS 5 has already been made available to developers, while customers will receive the update sometime this fall.
