The results of this study are based on the views of 3,200 students, all aged between 18 and 26. This survey was conducted in between 2001 and 2002 and it was a part of the third wave of the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health.
Participants along with their sexual health and pleasure were asked about their gauge levels of autonomy, self-esteem and empathy.
