Apple’s potential iPhone 5 still seeks a release date as the Cupertino-based gadget maker didn’t drop even the slightest hint on its next-generation smartphone at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, Calif.
While Apple fans are eager to listen about the potential iPhone 5, the Android camp is happy with the delay of the device as it could hit Apple fans’ loyalty and prompt them to switch to smartphones based on Google’s Android operating system.
Analyst Radu Tyrsina also believes that some Apple fans will likely prefer to switch to Android rather than waiting for the iPhone 5.
Commenting on the topic, Tysina said, "Without a new iPhone 5 on the market, more and more users could fall into the temptation of buying an Android smartphone instead of waiting for Apple’s next smartphone to hit the stores."
Perhaps Apple chief executive, who dared his health issues to announce company’s new products at the WWDC, hadn’t known that by not mentioning anything about the iPhone 5, the biggest news out of WWDC would become “no iPhone 5 announced” rather than “iCloud arrives and iOS 5 is on the way.”
