Apple reveals price plans for Mac OS X Lion, ServerApple has published a PDF document that declares price plans for the company’s Mac OS X Lion and Mac OS X Server.

Consumers will be able to download and install Mac OS X Lion via the Mac App Store for $29.99, while business customers will have the software in a minimum quantity of 20 licenses at the same $29.99 price.

The Cupertino-based firm will also provide business customers with maintenance for $49.99 per license at the same minimum quantity.

The company will also offer Lion, which will come packaged with iLife and iWork applications, for education customers via its Education Licensing Program or its online Education Store. The "Apple Software Collection" bundle will cost $39 per machine in volume packs of 25 licenses.

Apple’s PDF document states that the new operating software minimally demands a Mac with a Core 2 Duo, Core i3, i5 or i7, or Xeon CPU and at the machine must have a RAM of at least 2GB. In addition, the machine must be running Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later.

The Cupertino firm also declared that Mac OS X Lion Server would be available as a separate $49.99 alternative for users of Lion, and that the current users of Snow Leopard Server would be able to upgrade to Lion Server by buying Lion along with Lion Server for $80.
