It has been reported that Chinese scientists are working towards modifying cows so that their milk should have qualities like a woman’s breast milk. For the same, the researchers at the China Agricultural University have introduced human genetic material into several cow embryos, which have then been transferred into cow surrogates.

Media group, Reuters has informed that the Chinese scientists have successfully created a cow “that could produce milk with the same nutritional properties as human breast milk”. It has been told that the milk carries 80% of proteins which is normally found in human milk.

The experiment involves more than 300 cows taken from farm from the outskirts of Beijing. The scientists are hoping that within three years the alternative milk will be available in the market.

It has been revealed that as compared to human breast milk cow milk tastes sweeter and stronger.

Although it is believed that the cow’s milk will be helpful in feeding infants, there are some who are criticizing the so called invention. The critics are of the view that if one feeds their child with cow milk then there are chances that the baby might get attached to the cow instead of being attached with his/her mum.
