British Government has published action plan to foster small-scale green energy generation among homeowners, communities and businesses across the country.
The Govt.’s Strategy on Microgeneration, which was developed in association with consumer groups, industry representatives and other stakeholders, will try to create a revolution in small-scale green energy generation.
The strategy also aims to address the barriers which threaten take up of incentives, such as government financial schemes Feed-in Tariff and the Renewable Heat Incentive that underpin the microgeneration strategy.
It strategy also aims to transfer the microgeneration sector into the energy mainstream.
Speaking on the topic, Energy & Climate Change Minister Greg Barker said, “I want to see a revolution in energy generation at a local level, giving genuine power to the people.”
The Strategy on Microgeneration also aims to ensure consumer protection across the microgeneration sector, and to promote development of the knowledge and skills required to help the sector expand.
