Faithfulness Runs in a Family

FaithfulnessFaithfulness runs in a family, at least for a man, suggested a team of researchers led by Jan Havlicek of Charles University in Prague. The Daily Mail has published the findings and suggested that men are more likely to cheat if their fathers were unfaithful.

Further, the study suggests that men tend to stray if their fathers had been unfaithful during their growing age as boys observe the world around them and make a decision that what is best and father was an obvious example to follow for good or bad whereas women were not affected in the same way by their mother’s infidelity.

During the course of the study, the researchers analyzed around 86 couples and questioned men and women individually, in confidence, about their relationships, level of honesty, attitude towards sex, family history as well as faithfulness. Afterwards, they concluded that relationship and affairs of men have great influence from sex as compared to women.

Men attempt to have affairs because they want sex and different sexual partners. On the other hand, women stray if dissatisfied with their relationship.

"It might be best to stay in your relationship because, in some cases, it's better to have someone who's not perfect than to be alone, particularly when you've children. Many of the women we interviewed said that's just what they were doing”, explained Jan Havlicek.
