US federal authorities arrest Ohio man linked to LulzSecThe US federal authorities arrested a Hamilton, Ohio man for allegedly involving in the hacking spree started by anonymous hacker group LulzSec.

A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed that agents raided the Ohio house on Monday. The FBI spokesperson declined to provide any further details.

Over the past two months, LulzSec harassed several big corporations and government agencies by breaching the security of their computer networks and exposing their confidential data. LulzSec itself claimed responsibility for hacking the computer network security of Sony’s PlayStation Network, CIA, PBS, the US Senate, and an affiliate of the FBI.

However, LulzSec recently announced that it was putting an end to the hacking spree by dissolving itself.

The arrest of the Ohio man was the second major arrest after the UK metropolitan police’s Central e-Crime Unit arrested 19-year-old Ryan Cleary from Wickford, Essex, for his involvement with LulzSec.

Reports suggest that the FBI agents arrested the Ohio man after receiving information they are believed to have gained from police interviews with Ryan Cleary.
