Gordon Murray, Former F1 engineer and one of the world’s most eminent car designers, has unveiled a new electric car called the T. 27 at the RAC in London.
According to Murray’s claims, the T. 27 is the world’s most efficient electric car as it will consume less power than any other EV, including Mitsubishi i-MiEV and electric smart car.
The T. 27 comes equipped with a 25kW electric motor and a 12kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The three-seat car is very small in size as it measures just 98 inches, 51 inches, and 63 inches in length, width and height respectively.
The car has a 70-inch wheelbase and weighs around 1,500 pounds. Being small and light, the car can run 100 miles on a single charge.
Speaking on the new car, Murray said, “Lightweight is the most powerful tool we have in our armory in the fight against emissions and fuel consumption. This is true of all cars, and especially so with electric vehicles!”
Reports suggest that the T. 27, which has been built with financial support from the British Government Technology Strategy Board, is scheduled to debut on 5th of November at the RAC Future Car Challenge.
No comment was made on the pricing for the T. 27; however, one can guess pricing from the T. 25’s price tag of $9,000.
