Netflix All Set to Rule Home Entertainment Segment in Association with Nintendo

Netflix All Set to Rule Home Entertainment Segment in Association with NintendoIn a discussion that happened at the International Consumer Electronics Show, among other places, Reed Hastings the founder of Netflix, shared some very interesting remarks about the firm's already very popular streaming service. It seems that Netflix Watch Instantly could be on its way to become the biggest home entertainment system of the current times.

It can be said without a doubt that Netflix is the most successful streaming media firm of the present times, especially from a commercial stand-point, and the company's Watch Instantly streaming service has managed to garner much popularity inspite of the fact that it lacks new releases most of the times.

However, with a huge back catalogue of all old and golden hits and newer sitcoms and television shows, the service is surely becoming a good enough alternative to renting.

Another area which Netflix has been constantly targeting with the streaming service is the home video game market. The company started with its Roku player, went on to join hands with the XBox 360 and earlier during the year, the service became available on Sony's PS3 as well.

Now, Netflix is looking to join hands with Nintendo's Wii, which would definitely help it dominate the home entertainment market. Although no real confirmations have yet been made, it is almost sure that Ninetendo Wii would be the next gaming console to offer the Watch Instantly service.
