Video games developer Media Molecule is stepping away from LittleBigPlanet series in order to on some new projects, according to a report published by Edge magazine.
Announcing the decision, Media Molecule's director Siobhan Reddy said, "We're stepping away from LittleBigPlanet to focus on some new ideas."
Media Molecule, which carved a niche for itself by developing the PlayStation-exclusive LittleBigPlanet games, is currently working on working on LittleBigPlanet 2 to create a deeper PlayStation Move experience.
Media Molecule also announced that it would not bring the LittleBigPlanet 2 to PlayStation Vita. Instead, the game will be ported by Double11.
LittleBigPlanet was acclaimed highly by video games fans of every genre, and its lovable character Sack Boy became both a gaming icon as well as a benchmark for future video games.
